Privacy Policy

EVIE Autonomous respects your privacy. This notice explains what we do with the information you give us, through the forms on this site or by getting in touch directly. We set no cookies and track nothing, so the only information we hold is what you choose to send us.

Last updated: 1 September 2026

01Who we are

EVIE Autonomous is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. That means we decide why and how it is used.

  • EVIE Autonomous, Unit 7 & 8, Riverside, Campbell Road, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST4 4RJ
  • Registered in England and Wales, company number 14420680
  • Email: contact@evieautonomous.com
  • Phone: 01782 640 650

02What we collect, and when

We only hold information you actively give us. Nothing is gathered in the background, and there is no profile of you built from your visit.

  • Contact form: your name, and optionally your company and phone number, together with your email address, the topics you tell us you are interested in, and whatever you write in the message.
  • Newsletter signup: your email address, and the date you asked to join.
  • Enquiry form on the solutions pages: what you tell us about your vehicle, your operation and the problem you are trying to solve, along with any contact details you include.
  • Client portal: the sign-in details of clients we have given access to, so we can tell who is signing in.
  • Email, phone and post: whatever you choose to include when you contact us directly.

03Why we use it

Each thing we hold has one purpose, and we do not repurpose it later without asking you.

  • To reply to your enquiry and carry on the conversation you started. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, because you asked us something and we are answering it.
  • To send you the newsletter, where you have asked for it. Our lawful basis is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • To operate the client portal for clients who have an account. Our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you.

We do not use your details for automated decision-making, and we do not profile you.

04Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies on your visit. We use no analytics, advertising, profiling or tracking technologies of any kind, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not follow you across other websites. That is why you are never asked to accept cookies here.

The only exception is our own editor, which is not part of the public site: when a member of our team signs in to publish content, a single cookie keeps them signed in for that session. It is never set for visitors.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We do use a small number of suppliers who handle information on our behalf and only on our instructions: our website host, and the services we use to receive enquiries and send the newsletter. They are bound to keep it secure and may not use it for anything of their own.

We will disclose information if the law requires it of us, and we will tell you if we are permitted to.

06How long we keep it

We do not keep things indefinitely just because we can.

  • Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Then deleted.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email we send.
  • Client portal accounts: for as long as the account is active, and for up to 12 months after it is closed.

07Keeping it safe

Information you send us is transmitted over an encrypted connection and is held on services that require authentication to reach. Access inside EVIE is limited to the people who need it to do their job.

08Your rights

Where we hold personal information about you, UK data protection law gives you the right to:

  • ask for a copy of it
  • ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • ask us to delete it
  • ask us to restrict how we use it
  • object to our use of it
  • ask us to transfer it to you or to someone else in a portable form
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where consent is what we relied on

To exercise any of these, email contact@evieautonomous.com. We will respond within one month, and it costs you nothing.

09Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

10Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.
